Located at the gateway to Achill Island, Co Mayo, Óstán Oileán Acla / Achill Island Hotel is a newly built 26 bedroom family run hotel, restaurant and bar. We offer quality accommodation, nightly entertainment and traditional warm hospitality to our guests and visitors to Achill Island, to Clew Bay and the west of Ireland.

Our family run hotel combines first class accommodation and banqueting facilities with aspects of local culture and heritage from Achill Island and the surrounding area which we hope you will enjoy.

Room Information

Óstán Oileán Acla provides an excellent quality of accommodation on Achill Island. With views overlooking the Atlantic waters of Achill Sound, many of our 26 large bedrooms can be configured as double, twin or triple bed rooms.

In addition we have a luxurious bridal suite and a ground-floor bedroom for disabled access.

All rooms include en-suite bathroom (both bath and shower), large screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone.

Food and Beverage

Alice's Bar at Óstán Oileán Acla / Achill Island Hotel continues the tradition of its predecessor, Alice's Harbour Inn, with its reputation for 'ceol agus craic'.

Using local stone and harbour-side features, Alice's Harbour Bar provides a welcoming venue for an evening out. Our extensive menu of bar meals is available all day, and live entertainment is provided most nights.

Enjoy the panoramic views of Achill Island from our seafood restaurant. Alice's Restaurant at Óstán Oileán Acla provides a unique dining experience. With stunning views across the Atlantic waters of Achill Sound, our restaurant offers a haven of tranquility and relaxation.
Our menus are prepared according to the season, with Achill lamb and locally caught seafood - including wild Atlantic salmon, oysters, mussels, crab and lobster - a specialty.

Area Information

Achill Island is the largest island off the coast of Ireland, measuring some 20km from east to west and 18km from north to south. Its famous rocky and mountainous coastline measures a total of 120km and includes Europe's highest sea cliffs at Croaghan. Achill has two significant mountains, Slievemore (672m) and Croaghan (668m), while Minaun (466m) provides the dramatic cliffs at the Dookinelly end of Keel strand.
